The Student Government class wished everyone a Happy New Year. The Executive Council included all elected and appointed officers plus a representa- tive from each of the following depart- ments: English, Math, Science, Home Ec., Business, Art, Drama, Music, and Girls Sports. They met together first period to plan the week's activities such as Math and Science Week, New Years Week, and Year- book Week. They participated in assem- blies, decorated for dances, and tried to involve students in school activities. Sue Roberts was the advisor. 81

In student government, Mike headed the President's cabi- net, Kevin was in charge of Con- gress, Becky took care of the De- partment of the Interior, and Kelly, the Department of the Exterior. These officers had the responsibil- ity of beginning new Timpview tra- ditions that will carry on from year to year. 83
