Class History As we, the graduating class of 1965, look back on our four years at Timmonsville High School, we realize that they were four of the most memorable years of our lives. Our accomplishments, our ac- tivities, and our failures of those years will be with us forever as cherished memories. To lead us through our first bewildering year, we elected Harriet McMillan, president; David Holman, vice-president; Judy Yarbor- ough. secretary; Ann Hunter, treasurer; Donna Powers, student coun- cil representative. After a short vacation we returned to THS as sophisticated sopho- mores. We chose David Holman, president; Harriet McMillan, vice- president; Arden Andrews, secretary; Judy Yarborough, treasurer; Donna Powers and Garris Keels, representatives. Then came one of the highlights of our high school years--we became juniors. We started as upperclassmen by electing Harriet McMillan, president; Pat Fletcher, vice-president; Garris Keels, sec- retary; Linda Walkup, treasurer; Donna Powers, representative; Dwight Langston, first semester representative; Carl McDowell, sec- ond semester representative. We presented a three act play Deadly Earnest under the direc- tion of Mrs. Rosale Conner. Mr. C. A. Neely, and Mis Carolyn Payne. Using the theme Candyland, we successfully entertained the seniors at the Junior-Senior Prom. Then it happened, we were seniors. Our officers for our most important year were Donna Powers, president; Dennis Hill, vice- president; Annelle White, secretary; Linda Walkup, treasurer; Harriet McMillan and Virginia DuRant, representatives. With the aid and guidance of our sponsors--Mrs. Lillian Wade and Mrs. Loutee Pardue--we assumed the responsibilities of our position and carried on the activities of our class. We were the honored guests at the Junior-Senior Prom instead of hosts. The trip to Wash- ington and New York holds many memories that will be treasured forever. During the year Carl McDowell has served as president of the Stu- dent Council, while Judy Yarborough has served as treasurer. Linda Walkup has done a fine job as editor of the WHIRLWIND, and Sara McLeod and David Holman have served as editors of the TIHISCO. We leave our high school days with mixed feelings. We are sad that our days as students at THS are almost over; yet we are happy with the hopes and ideas of the future. We know that our alma mater, Timmonsville High School, has done an excellent job in pre- paring us for the future and that the years spent in her halls and class- rooms will never be forgotten.
