Dedication Miss Blanche Rose Miss Rose has taught in the public schools of South Carolina for more than forty-five years. For thirty-seven of these years she has taught in the Timmonsville Grammar School, and both parents and children in many of the homes of this community have been privileged to know her as their teacher. As the time for her retirement approaches, we begin to realize what a large role she has played in the educational development of the children of Timmonsville and the surrounding area. Never unduly harsh or forbidding, she has imparted to us a fair share of knowledge, even when we have resisted it hardest. And so, as a small token of our deep appreciation for all that she has done for us, we respectfully and affectionately dedicate the 1957 edition of The Purple and Gold to our Miss Blanche.
