TIIVIBERLAKE BAPTIST CHURCH Dr, Paul Hatmacher, Pastor Il k ' HI Xp? Rev. Kenny Dickerson, Asst. Pastor, and Chaplin of T.C.S. CHRISTIAN SCHOOL 4 Board of Deacons Front Row L to R, Jesse Tinsley, Robert Allen, George Sumter, Jr., Chairman John Stevens, Bill Pack. Second Row L to R, Frank Crist, Jim Noffsinger, Dr. Paul Hatmacher, Walter Clark, Charles Toler, Richard Jett, Absent-Ray Dobyns. WHAT IS CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AT T.C.S. First, what is Christian education? It is the educat- ing of the whole man - physical, mental, and spiritual. As we discover and apply the inter-relationships be- tween these areas from a Biblical point of view, we have a Christian education. We feel that when we apply these Biblical Principles that are embodied in Christian education we are following God's direction for developing the total person. Second, at T.C.S., a Christian education is distinc- tive because, in addition to what we have just men- tioned above, we are learning the principles upon which a Christian nation and society functions. America is-different because of her heritage and foundation upon these principles. As we learn and apply them in our daily living, we begin to see the part that we are to play in God's plan for us as individual Christian Americans. - ORIENTED MINISTRY

I will be thankful for Christian Education. I will be thankful for the Scripture I was taught, espe- cially, Wherewithal shall a young man tpersonl cleanse his therl way. By taking heed thereto according to Thy Word ..,. With my whole heart have I sought Thee. O let me not wander from They commandments ..., Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee. I will be thankful for the faithful men and women who taught me the precious truth of They Word - such as Therefore I esteem all Thy precepts concerning all things to be right: and I hate every false way. When l leave T.C.S. I will want to be a practicing Christian, and not in name only. I will remember, Order my steps in Thy Word and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. As I leave the familiar halls of T.C.S. I am thankful that at this age there has been already instilled in me life's most important values and objectives as expressed in this verse, Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. I know the path of life will lead through some dark and obscure places. I will be thankful for the presence of ONE, so closeand so real. I will be comforted by a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. I must go now and when the way becomes difficult and dim I will remember that Jesus said, I am the Light of the world. This will be a comfort to me and I.will say to Him, For Thou art my lamp, O Lord, and the Lord will lighten my darkness. ' I. an QQ QQ QD ,Q 03 no oo ooo

LOCAL CHURCH- ORIENTED SCHOOL Executive Committee - L to R, John Stevens, Tom Showalter, Dr. Paul Hatmacher, Dave Globig, Chairman Richard Jett, Fred McWane, Dr. Robert Sanders, Lewis Garbee, George Sumter Jr. MX 'wi ,Q 2 J Campus I Timberlake Rd. Campus II 300 Horizon Dr. AN EDUCATION THAT IS THOROUGHLY CHRIS- TIAN IS . . . Centered on the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, The Revealer of Truth. There are great Biblical Principles that must be integrated into the subjects ot the curriculum before there can be an educa- tion that is Christian. An Education that applies the Principles of our American Heri- tage. Our nation was not only founded by men of Christian Princi- ples, but the form of government and the documents revealed Christian Principles. These Christian foundations must be restored if the rapidly deteriorating foundations of our nation are to be rebuilt. An Education that inspires students to Attain Academic Excel- lence. A healthy competition, a recognition through awards, and the challenge for each student to attain his academic potential, combine to inspire students to superior academic achievement. An Education that offers a Well-Rounded Program in Athletics and other School Activities! An Education that Trains Students to Exercise Christian Self- Discipline! Students who learn to govern themselves by the Princi- ples of the Bible do not need to be governed by others. -11523-f M Dr. Robert Sanders, Superintendent TIMBERLAKE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS
