This group met regularly to foster interest in sports at THS and get community cooperation for athletic events. The coaches really appreciated the services of LAA A EASE Tee X : E ‘ eS . this group. The setting is the bus barn, their point of departure each morning. More than 50 per cent of Tillamook's students were transported regularly.

Seniors, Class of ’65 y it flee i A = Vince Hartman, president. This class set many significant marks that will be hard for any other class to equal either scholastically or in extra- curricular pursuits. Their first big achievement was to take a first place in Homecoming float competition. In the same event their princess, Joanne Foster, won Homecoming Queen for 1964. Her court, all seniors of course, was Kathy | Holden, Chris Milner, and Judy Hofmann. Co- chairmanned by two seniors Ken Baumgartner and Joyce Jones, this homecoming was rated, best ever. Closely following Homecoming was the senior class play, Mrs. McThing a roaring success as a comedy-fantasy and well attended. Then as the year went on the seniors won top place in scholar- ship on the honor roll, regularly, held important positions in athletics, and generally carried out the distinction of their role as top dog. As the year rolled along senior centered ac- tivities became even more prominent: the Winter Formal, the March of Dimes Drive, the Prom and the Prom Queen, the senior breakfast, baccalaureate, and the big event, graduation. For some it came too fast--high school was over.
