oreword As the future will definitely bring the air age, we have chosen the theme, Flying High, for our 1946 Kilchis. Through this coming air age many dreams and ambitions will come true as many people are looking to the future with great anticipation. Generations past have seen the gradual change in the mode of travel, first by foot, then by horseback, and then by mechanized vehicles. Now we look to the air for our next transportation means which will be the greatest change in all history. Traveling by air saves a great deal of time and thus many people will get to see more of the world and further their education more rapidly. Also, there will be more ship- ping and faster shipping between countries as it will require less time to ship by air. They have made many cargo planes which will be able to carry many tons of shipping and less time to ship it. ' Already there is evidence of this new air age by the discoveries of new airplanes and the building of cheaper planes and also the numerous new airports being opened up. Many students are learning to fly which shows that the students of Tillamook High are det- initely preparing for the coming air age. However, the Seniors of THS will fly high in their dreams, hopes and plans and surely The horizon will Widen as they climb.
