One of the principal aims of your high school is to build a good foundation for your continued growth and development. However, the foundation itself is of limited value, unless you have also ac- quired the means and the desire to continue this growth. Whether or not you pursue your education in col- lege or in your job and home, you will have to select the desirable experiences from the undesirable if you wish to grow rather than stand still or deteri- orate. The education of a man is not determined by the number of years he has spent in school but by his ability to think and to make selective judg- ments. He grows just as long as most of his selected experiences are good and his bad judgments are not too many or too important for his physical, moral and mental development. Our hope for all Joe Tildens is that they will con- tinue to build upon their fine technical foundation and to evolve a fuller, richer and happier life. PRINCIPAL
