Shops Si [den Tilden Tech High is the best technical school in Chicago. That's the thought of students as they go through the process of shaping a piece of wood or turn- ing a stock of metal in a lathe. Our shops are supplied with the finest equipment that can be obtained and staffed with well-trained instructors who pass along to us their many years of knowledge and experience. Upon entering Tilden the student starts out with wood shop and he soon ac- quires experience to turn to metal working, printing, linotype, machine or auto shop. Work in shops offers training which is of use now and will be of value in acquiring jobs in the future. PATTERN SHOP Mr. Pfister, Mr. Stoffer and Mr. MacNab watch Donald Crispin cut a pattern. In later years as we look over the Craftsman or meet old friends, we shall reminisce about teachers, classmates, events, serious and humorous . . . experi- ences at Tilden. We shall remember the difficulties which faced us, especially when we were freshmen and the help the faculty gave us throughout our school life. We shall look upon our years at Tilden as four of our best years . . . always to be remembered with pleasure and gratitude. X cinc ucic e Mrs. Friedman and Mr. Coble. e.
