“Our class officers we e Pres dent Bonnie Hale, Vice President Bob Catron, Secretary Treasurer Emma Dittrich, Cheer Leader Beverly James, Sponsor Claire Tomjack I this our senior year, we have lost none and gained one Delorls Ritter Our class officers are President Bonnie Hale, Vice President Delmar Eggers, Secretary Treasurer Marlene Garrison Cheer Leader Beverly James, Spon sor Hrs Frances Hash The senior play entitled Shiny Nose was under the direction of Earlene Ransom The cast included Bonnie Hale, Beverly James, Joyce Foss, Eldon Schnoor, Marlene Garrison, Bob Catron, Delmar Eggers, Clifford Ruegge, Pat ricla Westohal, and Betty Graves We have had a hap,y and profitable time during these twelve years in school Our history includes no world shaking events, 'tis true No LIFE photogra pher has been here to snap us at work or at play, but these schooldays are dear to our heart The little waves of our school life and of the life of Tllden High School, even after this year, will always be dear to us Ne would, if e could us forward, into a new life FUTUHL EVhVTS Class Prophecy 'Know thyselfn is an ancient motto which I believed myself to be living up t I thought I knew myself very well indeed knew my possibilities and my lim'tat1ons Kfor the most part, limitations I But Friends, I underrated myself entirely Not only do I know myself as I shall.beformany years to come but I can see my fellow clas mates just as clearly This power of second sight came to me with breath taking suddenness in February of this year Well life in this Atomic Age is full of surprises Since this power came to me, I have done little else but look forward Some of the things I have noted have filled me with surprise at others, I muttered, 'Uh huh I thought so Now I shall share my discoveries with you My discoveries may ave a lot of day dreaming on the part of us in 1948 It will not be necessary for anyone to wonder what he 1 going to be able to do he can just remember the parts that pertain to him For instance, Jerry James and Homer Uecker need not worry further that they have more avoirdupois than they believe to be becoming in youth For I noted that, in the year 1949, they would both volunteer to starve for sci ence The experiment was undertaken in connection with the attempt to cut the weight of supplies necessary to be taken on trips to Mars, Venus, the Moon, and other points to all sides of us Jerry and Homer went for their six months' starvation period to the University of Nebraska There dey were under the close observation of Doctors Childs and Eggers These doctors, who had been instrumental in getting them to act as guinea pigs, were to make sure that they came through the experiment with life, at least Jerry was under an additional weight of apprehension, howeven for, as we all know he and Dr Childs have for a long time both been aspirants for the hand of Pauline Splekermann, and, some say, Dr Eggers thinks Jerry is in the lead Both Jerry and Homer had, by means of ice creams,candy, and Paul1ne's hot biscuits, gotten up to 210 each, when they arrived at the University For some weeks it wasn't so bad, but by the time they had gotten down to about 130 they were pretty cross, and also without any pep And, would you be lieve it, both of those Romeos lost all interest in their glrl friends? r : I ., Q 0 , - - -- - f I U ' u --A I -- K ' - -'Av g Q ll N , . : - W o - , , - . .
