rf yard line and ran 80 yards to a 13-7 victory. In 1941, Mr. Rodinis, with a crew of young and untrained warriors, attempted to keep up the standards of our athletic records. However, the inexperienced team had a difficult season against older and more experienced opponents. Gerald Lennen and Morty Barron, co-captains of that team, left behind an excellent account of themselves. As a beginner, the Rodinismen tied a highly-favored Boys High team, sparked by the co-captain, Gerald Lennen. who intercepted tive passes. Supremacy in the air gave New Dorp a 13-7 triumph. Irritated over its losses, the team came back to defeat Lafayette, 19-0, and tied Tech, but then bowed to St. Iohn's. The closing game of the season against Ietierson proved to be an exciting but discouraging defeat. One team, which Tildenites can always look back upon with an air of satisfaction because of their achievements, is the baseball team. To enumerate their victories, more than one page would be necessary. Those who share the bright lights of the 1942 season are Bob Towse, Ioe Carriello, Harold Wasserman, Fred Axelband and Ed. Lasker. I would say that Tilden athletes, in general, and the sportsmen of the class of Iune 1942, in particular, can boast ol a record of which anyone could be proud. HAL SILBERMAN
