TO THE SPIRIT OF TIFTON HIGH We, the Library Club, respectfully dedicate the 1954 Talisman to the SPIRIT OF TIFTON HIGH SCHOOL. At all times T.H.S. has been a place of oppor- tunity for those who had a desire for self-develop- ment. Hard work and ability have been the require- ments for leadership in her classes, student body activities, and club work. Her students stand with the best scholastically. They Win their share of na- tional, state, and community honors. Tifton High has kept pace with the times and has provided a program as varied as possible for a school her size. Her arms are open at all times to any student who is sincere, hard-working and anxious to find in her program a niche where he can develop to the best of his ability spiritually, mentally, physi- cally, and socially. T.H.S. existed long before it was housed in this present building. However, we are giving special recognition to the first class graduated from this building, to the first football team and coach in the history of T.H.S., and to the last class graduated from the old school building which is now the Annie Belle Clark Grammar School. Our homecoming theme, T.H.S. Through the Years, centered around these groups, and we are placing our homecoming pages near the dedication, since Homecoming, with its emphasis on former students and their accomplishments, is one of the ways T.H.S. has for expressing permanent interest in her alumni, informing them of her progress, and inspiring her present students toward higher goals. First Class To Graduate in the Present Tifton High School Building. First Tifton High School Football Team of Blue Devils. Last Class To Graduate in Old School Building Which Is Now Annie Belle Clark Grammar School.
