By means of a new invention, the stratoscolomoter, we are able to look ahead and see how the Class oi '46 is getting along out in the wide, wide world. Simply adjust a few knobs and . . . ah, what is that? XX The figure that just appeared on the screen of the stratoscolomoter is none other than La Rue Bagley. She is now recovering irorn a severe nervous breakdown caused by the fact that she could not decide which was the one ot all her many beaus. Sara West did not feel at home in her teaching career but is happy now as she patrols the halls of Sing Sing Prison. X Martha lordan has achieved distinction among the 1956 ,,.li3p-cats by her unusual ability to play boogey on the organ. Gladelle Moss and Kat Zellner collaborated in their lab- lefatory work and have produced Coccularium Typhitalia, a sure cure for dandruff. Glurriming up the works in the Senate is Laurie Har- Xgrdve, iilabuster trom Georgia, who insists that chickens roost better on round poles than square poles. Also in Washington is Ann Fargason. Ann was recently made librarian of the Library of Congress. Celeste lohnson has made a recording of Chopin's Polonaise tor Victor RCA. , so Her roommate, left Bartlett, has joined that professional basketball team, the Amazona. ln- South America, lune Stamey and Nick are happily tfngaged in the business of growing silk worms. Maxie Lightfoot thrills concert go-ers all over the nation when she sings, The Old Oaken Bucket. Carolyn Wilson is well-paid for her lectures to college students. Her subject is The Art of Note-Taking. Students who were at Bessie Tift in 1945-45 will be in- terested in learning that Georgia Spiers has worked up to the place of Postmaster General of the United States. Geneva Stephens and Geverna Chapman, the only room- roommates, are living rather com- fortably, off the money they earned as Powers models. Vflftle Cawood may be heard each evening on the NBC radio bedtime program for kiddies. But she is not the only one who is employed by a radio network. Betty Faith Williams screams once a week on the new mystery program, Shrieks in the Dark. The Class of '46 was blessed with unusual literary talent -Mildred McClain developed her ability as a short story writer. She is known also for the clever illustrations she draws for her stories. mates who are still Another literary-minded class member is Alice Vaughn iltfho has written a series of books dealing with live-stock. Mrs. Adolph Harris, nee Marinel Smith, is residing in Orlando, Florida. She is kept busy sewing and cooking for her husband and two little redheaded boys. Behind the information desk at Grand Central Station sits Marian Farris, who cheerfully answers all questions about the big city. Barbara Goggans has at last satisfied her curiosity by going around the world twice. Now she is confident that she knows what's going on everywhere. Ethel Borders is on one side of Africa and Gladys Farmer is on the other, but they see each other regularly because Gladys has a helicopter which she handles rather well. Dorothy Williams married a wealthy man and sends a -birthday offering once a week to the Bessie Tift Sunday School. And speaking of the Alma Mater, Sibyle Mitchell is still at Bessie Tift, She counsels each senior president as to just what a class president must do. Also in Forsyth is Carolyn Duggan. Duggan always was fond of Forsyth and its inhabitants. She teaches in the high school. Gwen Hartsfield Mashburn has written scores for two musicals on Broadway, thanks to her course in Harmony at B. T. C. That blur on the screen of the machine is Carolyn Cutt's thumb as she beginshplaying Begin the Beguine tor the king of England. Annie Laurie Grant, president of the Associated Press, recently addressed the staff of the Campus Quill. 4 The class mascot, Gtb Banks, is the most outstanding ot the Quiz Kids. -MARY FRANCES LEE. 1
