APPHECIATIO Dear Friends: It is with joy and a certain amount of pride that we present the 1945 Cr-mnoscuno to you. It has taken the tireless effort of many individuals to bring this publication to completion, and it is to these individuals that we wish to express our sincere appreciation. We are grateful especially to Mr. Ed Benson and Mr. Bob Elchart of Benson Printing Company, to Mr. Robert Faeber of the Alabama Engraving Company, to Mr. Henri Gaspar of the Gaspar-Ware Studios. Their guidance and cooperation made it possible for us to publish a yearbook in 1945 in spite of shortage and other obstacles which war presented. To those members of the faculty and student body who offered sound advice on the planning of the an- nual, to students who submitted snapshots, to those who willingly helped count pictures and make out orders, and especially to friends who managed to live with us during the trying annual days, we wish to say a very inadequate Thanlcs!
