That proverbial place of happiness and good humor? We think that :Ln the past year, we have found a place just as pleasant and rewarding. We call it 'Cloud 1967 and it certainly had all the qualities Cloud Nine will ever have. It was a place where friendship and understanding took precedence over the materialistic aspects of life 5 and sincerity governed the actions of all who dwelt there. As we look back on this year through the pages of this annual, it is our sincere hope that the events and people found there will bring back and hold for you the memories of that greatest place of all - Cloud 1967, With sincere gratitude, we the staff of the 1967 Chief, dedicate this yearbook to our senior class adviser, Miss Felicia Passaro, in recognition of her unlimited con- tributions to our class and to the entire school. Acting as adviser for the junior and senior plays, the Hi-Lites, and the yearbook are only a few of the services she performs. Her untiring devotion to the school and to her students have earned her the esteem and admiration of all. To you individually as a on behalf of the School Board and Administration of the Warren County School District, I extend congratulations on the attainment of your high school diploma. We, also, offer wishes for success in future endeavors. It is our hope that you will find the education offered during your years of school attendance to be of great benefit as you meet and conquer the challenges of life. As you enter the adult world, I trust that you will repay the pub- lic investment in your education by helping the Warren County School District as it strives to improve the educational programs offered the students who follow you through our schools. Sincerely, 5f1ff'51fSi-f- T. K. Barratt Superintendent of Schools Today the American classroom has been challenged as in no other period of history. The administration and faculty of a school system must look even more critically at the schools than in the past and attempt to answer the question how can we improve our school system in an effort to make our children scholars and not just students? Each young person in our school has the responsibility to him- self first, and then to others to set his goals high and exercise every ounce of potential within himself to adequately live life to its fullest, All persons should be concerned with the quality of education offered in our schools. We are challenged to consider the fact that the preservation of our country will depend on the prepara- tion of its youth. Our nation and the world has arrived at a point of development where a. sound education for each indivi- dual is not only desirable but it is a must. It is in this frame of reference that we ask the loyalty of all concerned for our schools so that we may improve and so that we may pass the harvest of these improvements on to our graduates. gywaaffleiff 10,,,,W4wfL 3 Ntfvnx Jacqueline Ihneval School Nurse Helen Jamieson Staff School Secretary Thomas Walsh Guidance Counselor J R Doris Johnson Clerk 5 Fc c u lty Evangeline Daelhousen Ellen lynch Elizabeth Perkins Alice Dunham Ruth Ulf Annabelle Schell Harriette McGraw Emma Johnson ,, Ns.
