In March 1976, Master Chief Judy joined the Navy via the delayed entry program awaiting graduation from high school. Since that first tour in California, he has served in USS Kitty Hawk CV-63, HELSLTPPRON ELEVEN, in San Diego Ca, NROTC unit, University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC., Uss JOHN HANCOCK CDD-98 lb, Charleston, SC, NRD Richmond Va! NRS Staunton, Va, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THRF-E, Port Hueneme, Ca., Chief of Naval Techni- cal Training Millington TN Chief of Naval Educa tion and Training, Pensacola, Fl., and his present tour in USS TICONDEROGA CCG-475, Pascagoula, Ms. His assignments have var- ied from Deck Seaman, Air- craft Handler, Educational Services Officer, Command Career Counselor, Com- pany Chief, Communica- tions Chief!Officer, ' CMS Custodian, and two tours as Command Master Chief. He is a Master Chief Navy Counselor, qualified as En- listed Surface, Aviation, and Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist. Master Chief Judy most recently served on the staff of the Chief of Naval Education and Train- ing serving as Force Reten tion Manager Headquarters Command Master Chief Trainin g Program Coordina- tor !Manager for the Navy Counselor Rating and In- spector General staff Master Chief Judy has made several deployments to all theaters of operation 1nclud1ngAlban1a as a member of UNITED STATES EUROPEAN COMMAND Joint Contact Team Program CECJ5-JJ where he provided the Alba- nia Navy with valuable infor- mation on the military per- sonnel assignment system. In addition, Master Chief Judy was selected as the 1982 Shore Sailor of the Year for HELSUPPRON ELEVEN, and 1986 Sea Sailor of the Year for USS JOHN HANCOCK CDD-98 15 and DESRON SIX.
