A three-year lettvrman in both Cross Country and Track, Larry is a competitor in the half- mile, mile, and relay for the 1959 Thurston Track Team. 1958 VAR ITY CROSS COU TRY CROSS-COUNTRY SCORING Contrary to popular belief cross-country is scored in the following manner-first place runner receives one pointg second receives two, and as each runner finishes the score in- creases. Each team has seven men. The first five men for each team score, and the other two men go to raise the score of their oppo- nent, with the low score winning.
