Second sopranos: L, Rankin, Davis, McWhorter, M, Rankin, Hon, B. F. Barrington. Altos: Collins, King, Jennings, Johnson, Edsall, J. Merriman. Linda McWhorter, Sue Merriman, Brenda Jennings, and Doniece Johnson represented the chorus as soloists in the tryouts for the All-State Chorus at Abilene and in the solo and ensemble contest at San Angelo. Sue Merriman received the honor of being in the All-State Chorus, and she and Brenda Jennings received a first division rating on their solos at contest while Linda and Do- niece received a second division on theirs. Two sextets also received first divisions. '99
