As communications and trade bring us closer to other nations, friendly relation- ships must exist. French, started in the elementary grades and continued through high school, provides an excellent opportunity for proficiency in that language. Another modern language, Span- ish, is taught. Students may choose to take Latin, the language of a people whose language and culture have greatly influenced ours.
