Vtfnlham Hartman Hubert Dougherty Llmor Wenss Suzy Warner Presldent Vice Presldent Secretwry Treasurer HISTORY We se come a long vsay sxnce we came here 1n the fall of 40 170 strong We had a mce class some of us weren t on the honor roll and some of us weren t hand some but we were happy to be ln hlgh school at last We really d1dn t do much ln the elghth grade that IS except for Jxm McGraw who started taklng Maryorle Ber get to school partxes The next year vsas our flrst real year rn high school Our class was enlarged because all of our country couslns came 1nto town to school We dldn t draw too much attentlon that year although we dnd put on an all school party md the boys We started our sophomore year with a fevx less klds some of them had moved md some had other reasons for not maklng lf We were begxnnlng to be known around 'l R At the Bow Leg ged Strut an all school party we danced 1n the atmosphere of the wlld west The Box Soclal was a f1nanc1al success for us Who cares how much rt cost Dave Mlllardp Uur Junlor year vuas one of our best years ln high school We celebrated the football season by puttlng on a post game dance Reserve Two For Murder was a thrxllxng mystery play It was dlffer ent ' The murdered v1ct1m was found slttmg ln the audlence At the Sock Hop our all school party even the facul ty came 1n thelr stocklng feet Our Prom Old South was a remxnder of planta t1on days wlth a rose garden a wxshtng well and a sllvery moon' In the spr1ng we took the blg step- we moved to the front center sectlon rn the assembly At last we were senlors Our senlor year the class of 45 was no longer made up of scatterbramed klds but 97 dzqmfzed and serzous senlors I the fall n1ne of our boys played thetr last football game clos1ng a successful season Best Foot Forward our fxrst senlor play was full of fun and laughter Yea Wm soc 1 l Around Qhrlstmas time we best smlles and were photographed boy are we a goodlooklng class lust when we were feellng good havxng passed U S I-llstory they gave us our I tests fno commentj Tlme went too fast through the spr1ng w th the senlor play Reflector skrp day caps and gowns announcements and fxnally Commencement As we appeared together for the last tnme we thought of the fellows who should be wlth us but who already have taken their place ln the world he shadowy flgures of sallors flyers and soldxers marched across the stage wlth the class of nlneteen hundred and forty fxve Not an outstandlng class but an average one w1th the future before us C Y 1 Al ' YY ' Y ' . x ' 1 V 4 4 I ' ' - . - .
