Jan. 28-The Stratford players gave Shakespeare's play, Julius Caesar, in the auditorium tonight. Jan. 29-An assembly was called at ten o'clock this morning. Mr. Horst made some announcements, some enjoyable and some otherwise. One of the latter was made for the beneiit of those who sat in the balcony last night. Jan. 30-The teachers seem to be taking their spite out on us these days for the work they had to do the latter part of exam week. FEBRUARY Feb, l-The H. E. C. Club put on a program this morning that all other clubs will have a difficult time to surpass. The teams and a few rooters started out for South Haven on a bus at one o'clock. Good luck, boys. Feb. 3-The Blue Triangle Club became a Girl Reserve Organization this afternoon. B' Feb. 4-Payments on the Annual, which were due Friday, are still coming in. Feb. 5-Mr. Horst is interviewing the Seniors this week in order to check up their honor points. Feb. 6--The Senior Girls gave a tea this afternoon for all Senior High Girls and lady teachers. The Seniors now have at least one successful achievement to their credit. Feb. 7-Three meetings are being held in the gym at four o'clock tonight. Campfire girls meeting, and Junior and Senior Basket Ball practice. We will have to enlarge the gym or make more hours in the day I guess. V Feb. 8-Manual Arts Club presented a very humorous program this morn- ing. We are certainly getting a variety of talent in assemblies this year. Mr. Ringle had charge of the assembly in the absence of Mr. Horst. Feb. 9-A home basketball game was played tonight with Niles. Our defeat. Feb. ll-lf you happened to be in the vicinity of the Old Assembly room after school tonight you were well entertained. The Juniors practiced for their program. Feb. l2-Some people thought they were going to get out of school at 11:30 this morning. But the bells were just being regulated. Feb. 13-Faculty's yearly entertainment was given at 7:30. Feb. 14-A good many valentines were circulatingin school during the day. Feb. 15-Mr. and Mrs. NVells gave two plays and several musical selections for the Lyceum number today. The Freshmen had a Valentine party in the gym tonight. Feb. 18-A band platform and some new bleachers are being added to the Gymnasium in preparation for the basketball tournament. Feb. 19-The beginning typewriting classes had the first of their Hfteen- minute tests today. Feb. 20-Mr. Peeke and Mr. Beggs are visiting other schools today. Feb. Dec. 19-Many of the Alumni who are home for Christmas vacation have been visiting school. Dec. 20-At last! the Junior rings are here. Dec. 21-First five classes in the forenoon. Seventh hour immediately after dinner followed by an assembly program put onby the Honorable Seniors. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. JANUARY clan. 2-Three teachers were absent today, Miss Williams, Miss Hangsterfer and Miss Kunzie. Examination schedules were given out this morning, Just two more weeks. Jan. 3-There are certainly a lot of the alumni back visiting school. Hope they enjoy our embarrassment. Jan. 4-The D. S. and T. C. Clubs put on the assembly program today. No hour was omitted. Basketball game with South Haven. Cur first victory. Jan. 7-The three teachers have reappeared so the Seniors are doing more studying. Jan. 10-The Annual subscriptions were received today. About 600 pupils expressed a desire for a 1929 Reflector. Jan. ll-Another number of the Lyceum Course was givenffor assembly. If applause is a fair means of judging one's interest, everyone enjoyed the lrish girls very much. clan. l4hNow for some fun. Exams started this morning. Jan. 15-More exams, More worry. Nfl i Jan. 16-Seventh hour exams were held today. Now our dear teachers can work. Jan. 18-Assembly was held today after which report cards were given out. Qver a hundred people classified after they received their cards. Game with Dowagiac won by us. Jan. 21-Some ambitious pupil for pupilsl heaped the contents of a good many people's desks on the platform of the Old Assembly room over vacation. A very untidy room and much commotion is the result. Jan. 22-English classes are selling tickets for the play, Julius Caesar, to be given January 28 in the auditorium. Jan. 23-The athletic field is in good condition for skating so it is quite thickly populated by students. clan. 24-A pep meeting was to be held tonight for the Allegan and Sturgis games but very few people attended it. Jan. 25-An assembly was called at one-thirty. Dinnie Upton gave a very interesting talk on The Player in the Shadow. Senior class meeting was held tonight. The invitations and girl's commence- ment dresses were picked out. Feb. 23-Last home game of the season was held tonight, Allegan won. Feb. 26-Three people in beginning typewriting class won the thirty word I a minute award today. Feb. 27-Preparations are about completed for the tournament. Feb. 28-If this weather keeps up everyone will have spring fever early this year. MARCH March 1-The basketball teams left for St. Joe at 3 o'clock. Ag. Club put on the assembly program this morning and third hour was omitted. M Seniors had their intelligence tests this morning at 9:15. Most of them were of the opinion that they weren't very intelligent after they had completed it. March 2-Mrs. Voorhees left today for NVashington to attend the Inaugural ceremony. The teacher who is to take her place was here Friday. March 4-Everyone assembled in the auditorium at ll o'clock and heard the Inauguration ceremony by radio. March 5-A prominent notice on the assembly Room board is: 'ASeniorsT Give orders for invitations to M. Stock. z'mmedz'aze!g: ' March 6-All Seniors who missed the chance to get their I. taken had to take the test today. March 7-District basketball tournament began tonight. March 8-Sophs gave a good assembly program today. Third and fourth hours were both omitted because the entire school attended an imaginary basket- ball game in the gym after assembly. More Basketball Conference this evening. March 9-If people attended many games like the one with Sturgis this even- ing we are sure their lives would be shortened IO years at least. Score. T. R., 22: Sturgis. 20. with three minutes' play overtime, March ll-Three Rivers plays Marshall in the Regional tournament at Kalamazoo, Thursday. You do your best boys and we'll do the rest, etc.. etc. March 12-No school today because of Teachers' Institute held here. March 13-All orders for Commencement invitations had to be in today. Girls' Gym Demonstration in Gym tonight. March 14-The B. B. team met their Waterloo tonight when they played Marshall at Kalamazoo. Too bad. now we're out of the tournament. March I5-Major Hill gave a talk on Africa today. Mr. Ringle took charge of Assembly as Mr. I-Iorst was absent. Y March I8-More group pictures were taken for the Annual today.
