Oct. l7-Why' so many sad faces today? Report cards! Oct. 18-Rain. rain, rainf That's all we've seen this week. Oct. 19-Straw vote was held in assembly today. Hoover won. Jerry Tulloch gave a talk on How a President is Elected. Cecil DeLong talked on Smith and Helen Geibe on Hoover. Annual Staff had a meeting at 7:00 o'clock. Oct. 20-The teams and the band went to Paw Paw today. Another game for us Oct. 22-Part of the group pictures for the Annual were taken today. Oct. 23-Too dark to take pictures today. Posters can be seen in most any room asking for money to buy sweat coats for the football team. Oct. 24-The rest of the group pictures were taken today. Oct. 25-Special Annual Staff meeting was held to make more plans for the 1 Assembly Program. Nov. 2. Oct. 26-Mr. Carrick gave an interesting account of his European trip in assembly today. Oct. 27-Ciame with Otsego here. Oct. Z8-Teachers are all gone to the lnstitute so we will have a little rest while they work for a change. ' Oct. 29-Teachers are still busy. Oct. 30-Back to school again, only two more days of school this week. NOVEMBER Nov. l-A few results of Hallowe'en can be seen around the school house. For example. marks on the chemistry lab. windows. Nov. 2-A pep meeting took up the assembly period today. The sweat coats which have been purchased were shown to the school. Mr. Voorhees gave one of his usual Q ?j talks. 7 , 'Q Nov. 3-Hurrah! VJe won. Score, Dowagiac, HEIT. R., 13. Nov. 5-Juniors and Seniors are giving essays and speeches respectively at the various Ward buildings on topics relative to National Education XVeek. Nov. 6-The Seniors are busy exchanging pictures. Nov. 7- Adam and Eva. the first Senior play, was a great success. with Cecil Delsong and Margaret NVhitesell the leading characters. , Nov. 8-The most noticeable result of the Senior play is the lack of prepara- tion of lessons. Nov. 9-The Reflector Staff gave a short play in assembly. Pep rally at 7:30 for Niles game tomorrow. Nov. l0-Niles vs. T. R.. there. Score. T. R., l5: Niles, 7. 1-:L-515:51 Ltttttctea 163531:-I Nov. 13-An assembly was called at l0 o'clock to learn the new High School song Mr. Peeke has composed. Nov. 15--Junior play try-outs were held tonight. Nov. 16-Male quartette and bell ringers entertained in assembly. A very peppy pep meeting was held at 3:45. Senior class meeting at 4:00. Nov. 17-The final football game was held today with Sturgis. Yeaf '28, we have an undefeated football team. Nov. 19-Eirst Junior play practice held tonight. Nov. 20- An assembly was held for Junior High pupils at 10 o'clock. A health speaker talked to them on prevention of diphtheria. Nov. Zl-Ag. play, Two Days to Marry, was given in the auditorium. . Nov. ZZ-Snow and more of it. A banquet was held in the gym tonight in honor of our winning football team. All football enthusiasts were invited. Nov. 23-Dr. Argubright from Battle Creek spoke again in assembly. Nov. 26-Here goes for the last six weeks in this semester. Nov. 27-We hear that Mr. Fox is furnishing nourishment for the people who stay in the Physics lab. after school. XVhenever your mouth waters for a nice juicy piece of fudge go down and work experiments for a little while. Nov. 28-Report cards. Ughf Oh. well, we will have recovered from the shock by lvlonday. Nov. 29-No school today or tomorrow on account of Thanksgiving. All students are truly thankful for the vacation. DECEMBER Dec. 3-The characteristic chilliness following a vacation was noticeable in most rooms today. Dec. 4-A notice has appeared regularly on the Old Assembly Board notify- ing Seniors to bring twenty cents to Marie Stock immediately. Things are always mysterious around Christmas. Dec. 5-Only thirteen more school days before Christmas! Dec. 6--The Orchestra can hardly make any noise without the Junior High Members. Another call at ten o'clock for Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Ciraders. Dec. 7-Assembly was called at 8:30 and first hour was omitted. Health speaker here from Kalamazoo. Peter Jackino played three accordian solos and an encore. A First basketball game of the season at Kazoo. Dec. ll-Nlr. H. I. Jones gave a lecture on Science and the Future in as- sembly. Eifth hour was omitted. Mr. Hoekzema, who is leaving next week. gave a little farewell speech. Dec. 12-The Juniors presented their play. Oh Kay, at 7130. Dec. 13-The Crchestra played at NVhite Pigeon tonight for the dedication of the new school building. The first diphtheria toxin-antitoxin treatment was given at 3 :-i5.
