SUPERINTENDENTS Il MESSAGE TO THE GRADUATES OF 1947: This year, we shall a.ll remember. For eleven years, you have strived and labored to achieve this goal. You have met obligations and made necessary adjustments to reach this event- ful period of your life. Our American ideals require you to continue upon a successful path, whose glow will be determined by the living rays of your own life. Four years of your school days have been marred by world turmoil and great conflict. Peace again reigns throughout most of the world, the longevity of which rests upon your shoulders. Preserve it for the ones who have dedicated their lives to the ideals which we hold so dear. May you follow in the footsteps of your predecessors and preserve the traditions of our American way of life. For the time I have known you and worked with you, I have gained great admiration and respect for you as young men and women of clean mind and thought.
