Dances, Crazy Hats, Plays Fill Winter Days Winter. The coldest and wettest in history for Southern California. But at Thousand Oaks High, activi- ties were booming with assemblies, crazy hats, plays, and basketball, plus the bliss of Christmas vacation. The Christmas assembly, tradition- ally presented iust before the close of school in December, always includes performances by the Lancer choral groups and a special skit by the drama classes. This year, How the Grinch Stole Christmas was presented by a cast headed by Dave Hall. Then came vacation, closely fol- lowed by a rainy Crazy Hat Day. The iollities of this day removed much of the bitterness of the return to school, setting a mood of ease at the close of the semester. As the semester ended, celebration gripped the campus, with the spirit heightened by a special con- cert by The Match. This concert was the direct cause of a sellout of their record I Can Feel the Love Year Coming. That prediction was proved only too true, as the ASB plays opened shortly after. These three plays, presented by actors from all four TOHS class levels may have started a new tradition at Thousand Oaks.
