Senior Class CONRAD BRAATKN, Presidini; MR visor. B, D. ANDERSON, Ad- The present graduating class began its first year of high school at Adolfo Cam- arillo High. The ninth graders that year sponsored the first Freshman Carnival, which is now a tradition there. In its Sophomore year the class won second place with its Homecoming Float and sponsored a Halloween dance and a suc- cessful Luau. In the fall of 1962 the Class of ' 64 moved to the newly finished Thousand Oaks High. Its officers, who were elected the previous spring were Jim Olsen, Pres- ident; Melli Runnion, Vice-President; Carol Trumbauer, Secretary; and Pat McLaughlin, Treasurer. Under their leader- ship the class had a Halloween Dance and a Jr. Girls vs. Jr. Boys basketball game. Funds from these activities plus Bermuda days, after-game dances, and concessions were augmented by the profit from the successful Junior Class Play, The Night of January I6th. This money enabled the Class of ' 64 to build a Senior Patio. Early this year the class cho e powder blue and white as its colors and Ely- sians for its name. The Elysians have been very active this year. They have had a Hush Day, Bermuda Day, an after-game dance, a Senior Patio Workday, and an interesting Senior Girls vs. Senior Boys basketball game. In November the class decided to donate page outfits and a throne to the school for use at dances. With the money remaining in the treasury the class will leave a gift for the school. At the time the Lancer Legend went to press, plans were busily being made for graduation. Talk of Senior Awards Night, a Senior Breakfast, and the All- Night Party was common. And now that the end is really in sight — the excitement of graduation near — the Seniors pause to think of their four years and of the events which make them memorable.
