RENDEZVOUS OF CELEBRITIES QProphecyl Flash! This is your favorite Hollywood column- ist, Louella Parsonhopper - reporting on her recent evening at the Dairie Bar ------ Hello folks! What an exciting evening I had! So many celebrities andinteresting peo le! As I entered the Dairie Bar, soft piano music dbated out to me, rendered by the famous pianist, Bill Harycki. I noticed a large Bock of men around the hat check room and I discovered the reason was up and coming hat check girl, Maxine Turenne. I was directed to my table by the head waitress, Luanne Schmidt. Luanne as you know, is planning on opening her own restaurant soon. She will employ Jane Vetterkind and Rosemae Lukasiewicz as waitresses. I had hardly sat down when I noticed four in- teresting people seated at the table across from me: Diane Zaborowski, Bernice Butterfield, Jackie Hedler, and Marian Henke. They claimed they were on their honeymoons, but had gone by themselves as their husbands were farmers and too busy to leave home! They seemed to be having fun. Hearing rowdy voices at the entrance of the restaurant, I turned to see what on earth was going on. Upon investigation, I discovered that the place was being over-run with Navy men, pursued by two Navy nurses, whom I later discovered to be Second Lts. Darlene Gulcynski and Lou Ann Kaminski. They were passing through California enroute to see a fellow Wave, Jo Hmielak at Camp Schooschooga- moochie, in Alaska. Suddenly the house lights went out ...... the spotlights loperated by Hollywood's famed electric- ian, Roger Benzschawelj went on, revealing Kenneth Szymoniak and his mighty band, featuring as solo- ists, the jazzy Jerry Wnek, from the metropolis of Lublin, on his tuba, Rex Schmidt one of Hollywood's most sought after bachelors on his diamond studded trombone, and Eugene Wilhelm, from Pleasant View fDairy Farmj, a suburb of Thorp, on his hot cornet. Next the spotlight turned off - Now for some behind the scenes news: ...... Leora Dudansky and Virginia Swiontek have a highly honored position as private nurses to All-American, Mitch Biser, who is in the hospital with a broken leg. Ruth Smigaj and Mary Ellen Pabich are graduates of Mariane Stan- iec's Modeling School. Both of them are ke t occupied by posing for leading magazine covers Lgrgosy and Esquirej. The Act finished, I settled down to enjoy the starry atmosphere. Suddenly over the loud-speaker, Fred CKenneyJ Radtke was being paged. He got up immediately and left. Soon after, I heard of the tragic death of Roy Rogers' horse, Trigger. This accounted, of course, for Fred's uick exit, as he is Hollywood's top mortician. By the way, have you seen the fabulous new Radtke Funeral Home? It was designed by leading architect, Donald Ryniec. Don also designed the 'Pat's Beauty Shop on Hollywood and Vine. Miss Mamayek's hair styles are the rage of the country. About that time my meal came. It was really delicious. Among the marvelous kitchen staff at the Dairie Bar, is James Schauer, one of Hollywood's top chefs. All the meals are planned by dieticians, Rheta Hoffman and Millie Kurtinaitis. Upon finishing my meal, I began interviewing again. There was a party of big business tycoons and their secretaries that looked interesting. Five of the most promising secretaries were Pauline Depa, Rita Gostomski, Loretta Burzynski, Theresa Kowalski, and Mary Ann Wyczawski. I asked them how they got to the top so fast. They said, By hard work and NOT sitting on the boss's knee! There was a group of very intelligent looking men across the room. Among them was Michael Bogumill, Einstein's successor. Also I saw Leon Lato, who is working on a new theory in electricity. By the way, the new baseball team, The Pink Socks, were present too. I didn't get a chance to interview them but I talked to their agent, Louis Platt for a few minutes. Louis is also part owner of Hernando's Hide-a-Way in Las Vegas. The other part is owned by Donald Dahm, a farmer who dis- covered a uranium mine in his backyard. I recognized my old friend, Joan Grucelski, and took a few moments to compliment her on her new book that everyone is talking about. Joan is also a reporter for the Hollywood Tattler. Seeing what looked like a stag party ...... I crashed it. They were a group of stand-ins for lead- ing Hollywood actors. There was stunt driver, Paul Harycki and Jerry Wojt, who is Gene Autry's stand- in the rides the horses, as it is too dangerous for Autryj. Also there was John Klick, fresh out of the navy, who does a lot of stock car scenes. With them was an old friend, Frank Hilgert, a coach. I-Ie told me he taught girls Phy. Ed ....... Also with them was David Lussenden. If you have noticed the new ultra-modern cars many of the stars are driving, and wondered about them, well, they are Dave's brand of customized cars. Have you ever heard of Clark Gable's stand-in, David Guell? He does the love scenes. I can't figure out why Dave was with a stag party, though. I asked Jon Pitt, who had been body guard for Lana Turner, by whom he was employed now, and he nonchalantly told me, Marilyn Monroe! ...... Cigarette girls, Marlene Burkhardt and Dorothy Kliminski stopped by to sell cigarettes, so I took that as my cue to leave ....... I guess that covers just about everyone. So that's it, folks.
