The Thornwell Saints Football Team started the year off right with a victory even before the school doors were opened. The Saint Spirit was in the air from the very beginning. THE SAINTS G0 Saints? Who are the Saints? We, the student body of Thornwell High School, are the Saints! We hustle, we bustle, and we bend over backwards just to make our school No. 1. Why? Because WE care! Marching? Do you call this marching? It all de- pends on how you look at life. We all march in uni- son, but some of us to the beat ofa different drum. The question is have we accepted each other so that we can work together in peace. Only the future will reflect the answer. MARCHING N ,, ' Mya,- ' MW' 5 V, , fe, . V, . s - fwfr., , 3 . You have been an example for us to follow in years to come. And . . . upon our high school graduation, thank you for allowing us to know you, for guiding us through these two years, and for helping us to grow into mature young adults. Wow! We finally made it to high school. Last year we were the biggies in junior high school, but now welre at the bottom of the barrel as far as the rest of the high school is concerned. Graduation seems far away like a light at the end of a long tunnel and is rarely, if ever, spoken of. But we're movin, on up and it won't be long now. We've loved every minute of Mrs. Duncan's English class and we hate to leave it behind famong other thingsj but we realize that one must sacrifice to progress. In completing the eighth grade, these young people are our future little green freshmen . While looking forward to their high school years, they are beginning to realize that there are four more c'go0d years ahead. From last year. this class has lost a num- ber of its members but we can see there is no loss of the well-known person- alities. SEVENTH GR DE- The 7th grade is always a hard year but this years, 7th grade is making it harder than most, especially for the teachers. Some of the complications they have met include being rained out of a field trip 3 or 4 times, having boys and girls in the same classroom, and intertaining the class without the teachers interfering. The best prescribed preparation before teaching this class is to take two aspirins, have a good nights' rest and have eyes in the back of your head. In essence the Little Devils will hopefully emerge to their fullest potential as young adults. Right-Robbie Zeigler finds an enjoyable way to pass the time. Below-Ronald Johnson in action! What form! To be honest, we have to admit that Thornwell is getting better all the time and that this has been the best year yet. For some, it was just a beginningg but for others, it was one more link in the chain of learning. During this year we've experienced many hopes and illusions of success but dispite the disappointments and frustrations which we've endured we leave behind a feeling of sat- isfaction in our achievements and have even higher hopes for next year. 5 G0 RCHING O S IE H . sis easy, ri v,,. , 2 ., E E Q X ir? But even though we must go our separate Ways, we will never lose you, our friends, because there is a bond between us all which can never be broken. That bond is our love for each other and the love which we have for the THORNWELL SAINTS. 105 - f .,.. .J ' 'swf ' k 3 A 1' wiv W Q +2 shy E, 6 AMW W si Uwiil ,., 5 Vg A ' Y Q gg fi r Las, ::'. ,N :aww 1 I gm 4 www W Wai f' ff M Amdirwzgl M Qs W WN!
