Bill Worth, Vice Pres Junior Timmons, Sec'y Frances Bailey, Trees Barbara Pefley Our sponsors were Mr. White and Mr. Mack. We held two Class parties and had a dance, 'The Hatchet Hop This year we purchased class rings and class sweaters During the year we lost Carl Sloan and Jim Woody, but gained Bob Howe, Dick Howe, and Bill Rhoades, bringing our total to Zh at the end of the year. As Sophomore River overflowed into Junior Sea, we Sophomores became Juniors Now as upperclassmen we were given our first chance to make money for our class We sold novelties, had a big bake sale, and sold cokes, candy, and popcorn at the ballgames This year our class officers were Pres Jack Patterson, Vice Pres. Dick Howe, Sec'y Frances Bailey, Trees Barbara Pefley. Our sponsors were Miss Nichols and Mrs Long we gave a successful class play, 'Out on a Limb . We had two class parties and a dance, the biggest of the year, the very formal nSleigh Ball' During this year we lost Floyd Fairfield, Frances Bailey, and Dick Dunbar, but gained Beulah Pagano, and Marvin Strong. The high point of this year was the Junior and Senior Play Day at Turkey Run. We then were ready to transfer from our Sea Tanker to an Ocean Liner and make our big step from Junior to Senior for our last year on the U S S High School. Our first semester has found us very busy with orders for caps and gowns, invitations, name cards, and pictures We have had one class party and our Senior Dance 'Corny Capers Our class officers are Pres Donnie Gant, Vice Pres Bill Wort , Sec'y Sue Castetter, Treas Beulah Pagano Our sponsors are Mr. Piety and Mrs. Gadsin. This year we lost Norma Kincaid, but gained Judy Tipps, bringing our total to 23 We anticipate a crowded year with these future activities! Class Play, one other class party, Junior and Senior Reception, The 195k Exode, Baccalau rate, Class Night, Kid Day, and Commencement We will be sorry to leave T H S. but as waters continue to flow and make new progress, so must we continue to write additional chapters in our history.
