dw FJMMW Some say that dreams are but idle fancy but I say dreams are my working plans Upon the unforseen future I would play in contemplation of what lies beyond the portal in the Garden of Tomorrow All this do I dream while Seniors flit the hours away in the enchanted garden. My dreams extend far into the Future, so far, in fact, that our earthly life has been exhausted. You have all assumed your deserv ing posts along the Road of Heaven As I end my earthly journey and make my entrance into the Great Beyond, I am told that my presence marks 1001 for the Thorntown Class of '53 At this Entrance Gate of Heaven I am given my possessions a pair of wings, a snow white robe, and a halo Now I am on my own! I cross the portal and immediately the beautiful angelic voice of Susie Ruckle falls on my ears. My eyes follow her music and I see her with all the grace and poise an angel could possess, leading the Choir of Heaven After rehearsal we meet and Susie introduces me to some of her choir members I have made previous acquaintances with only two of them Issed soprano I inquire about my other classmates and am told to continue my journey along the Road of Heaven where I will find all of them at their heavenly tasks I have traveled but a short distance when I see Phyllis Cravens and Barbara Fisher standing guard over the Star of Bethlehem They are very busy peering through their numerous sun lit telescopes looking for flying saucers that might hinder the beautiful rays of this sacred star. I decide not to bother them and looking to the other side of the road, I find walter Riche and Max Price attempting to transform the smallest stars into baskeiballs and using their halos as the baskets I try to get their attention, but they are so busy committing earthly fouls that my attempts are in vain As I wander farther down this Road of Heaven I am suddenly pushed a side by the Littlest Angel I had read so much about in my earthly days As he zooms past in pigeon toed action, chasing his halo as usual, I recognize Gene James I fly to my feet with the help of two rescuers whom I recognize as Carolyn Caldwell and Marjorie Moore They tell my they have been appointed to act as angelic nurses to aid those who unfortunately come in too close contact with the Littlest Angel Before I have time utter a word of thanks, they are gone on another mission L..s I happen to peer overhead and notice Carol on and Johnnie Altum who are performing the artistic work of Heaven They are rearranging stars, fluffing clouds, adding a touch of blue sky here and there, and doing numerous other tasks which make the Heavens appear more beautiful. Looking a little farther I also see Freeman Pollard, Davlg ugponalg, and Eddie Woodard who are very busy shining stars. They seem to have a method of mass production-Freeman blows on the stars, David shines, and Eddie throws them back in place.
