Q44 Wtdfdiy Like a journey into a strange land of lakes and rivers, mountains and valleys, hamlets and big cities, is the story of the lives of the Class of l9S3 This journey brought to High School Land in l9h9 5 Freshmen from Grade School Valley, including Marlene Chambers and Gene James from Washington Township Our officers were Pres Jerrianne Craig, V Pres Eddie Castetter, Sec'y Q Treas Carol Long Mrs Cline and Mr Boyd were our sponsors We had two class parties and a spring barn dance called 'The Wagonwheel' Managing to get thmugh Freshman Village, we were given a three month rest In the fall we entered Sophomore Town From our original 35 we lost Harold Jones, Lester Martin, Beulah Pagano, Jean Johnson, Syvia Toney, and Keith Venis, but gained Deloris Krewson for a total of 31 That year our officers were Pres Gene James, V Pres Eddie Cas were Mr Owens and Mr Mack We held two class parties and a 'Dance of Hearts' honoring St Valentine We also purchased class rings and sweaters. Next year we returned to school, thrilled to be upper classmen in Junior City Our officers were Pres Bill Randel, V Pres Eddie Castetter, Sec'y Carolyn Caldwell Treas Glenn Coffman, and our sponsors were Mrs. Long and Mrs Cones We worked hard to make money for our Junior Senior trip to Turkey Run Our class play was 'Honey in the Hive , our Christmas dance was the Snow Ball Formal We sold cokes and pop corn at the games and had a bake sale During the year we lost four classmates Charles Warmoth, Dale Veach, Dudley Daniels, and Delores Krewson We gained Bob Giles and Patsy Asher which brought our total to 29 Jolly Juniors, now ready to step forward into Senior Metropolis During our last year in High School Land we lost Marlene Chambers, Bob Giles, and Zelma Osborne, but gained Harold Jones and Ruth Mullen, bringing our total to 27 Our officers are Pres Bill Randel, V Pres Sylvia Morrow, Sec'y Walter Richey, Treas Marjorie Moore Mrs Gadsin and Mr Piety are our sponsors. Although we have been busy preparing for graduation and our next trip into adult life, we have had fun at our class parties, play, and dance 'Carnival Capers' We are proud to have added another edition of 'The Exode' to the library Reluctant to leave this land where we have spent four happy andprofitable years, we are, nevertheless, eager to advance into the Land of Tomorrow, to write additional chapters in our history - . 3 tetterg Sec'y.- Carolyn Caldwellgo Treas.- Sandra Morris..
