“ c?b427' iigggiiiig? ,ff fiifti k 61444 Pwww I have just returned from a tour of England and am leisurely enjoying the comfort of my hotel suite when the telephone rings It is Wilbur Way the hotel manager, who informs me that there is a lady in the lobby who wishes to speak with me As I descend the stairs I rec ognize her as Marilyn Kincaid After a short tete e tete we depart hoping to meet again I suddenly remember that I had planned to go to the studio to observe the latest developments since my de parture to England I step into an awaiting cab the cabble being Benny Osborne, and am driven speedily usual toward my destination As I hurriedly enter the studio, my eyes scan many familiar faces and I see Jack Stout the electrician busy adjusting the lights Beyond some of the sets I see Donnie Allen Devon Moody and Guy Ford carrying heavy props As I walk up farther to get a better view, I notice the Director, Bill York and the Play write, Joe Ramsey, who are undoubtedly discussing a scene Joe stands idly making Jokes while Bill frantically throws his arms in all directions in an effort to make himself understood Carolyn Mounts, soprano soloist accompanied by the famous musician, Leanna Mitchell runs through a song Jake Kincaid checks and double checks the sound ef fects, apparently satisfied that everything is in order But not for long. Comedian Joe Macy hears the voice of that drama critic, Linda Stultz, across the room. In a rush to gain her attention he trips over some of the props and knocks down some lighting fixtures. He now has L1nda's undivided attention, to the despair of all the technicians. At that moment Lewis Beesley and Carl Linton, two actors in the movie, and Director York take time out for a discussion about B1ll's hamster farm. You wonder why everyone stands waiting? The stars of the show are still in their dressing rooms. So that patience will not wear too thin, Cartoonlst, Jack Clouser, proudly displays his creations. At last the stars,Marv1n Ginn and Pat Price, descend from their dressing rooms. Pat is followed by Viola Mc- Donald, make-up expert, Virginia Coffman, hair dresser, and Wilma Louks Hampton, costume artist. Finally, after all this procrastination, Camera-man, Jack Crouch, prepares himself for a hard day as the director shouts, Places, Everybody!' By Norma Moore, celebrated star of stage and screen.
