Plays, CCTV Were Speech, A-VC Projects Closed circuit television was the big new com- bined project of the Audio- Visual and Speech de- partments. When three classes went to pep as- semblies, the fourth scattered to classrooms having TV sets and watched the proceedings. Instructions for making out next year ' s study programs were given over CCTV this spring. Raisin in the Sun , February play of the Speech and Theatre department, was a drama portraying a Negro ' s frustrating attempt to better himself and his family. A cutting from the play won third place in a speech contest earlier in the month. Lead parts were played by Judy Taylor, Selena Whitfield, and Ron Willis.
