Consequently, all Thornridge athletes came to Thornton to practice and to play. The beautiful new stage planned for Thornridge, with its latest in equipment, was located in the unfinished auditorium building and so no productions there were possible. Since 'iThe Man Wfho Came to Dinners, was presented in the fall, before the move, and since 'gAndrocles and the Lioni' had an all-senior Cast and seniors did not move, dramatics presented no problems. Everything was at Thornton. The variety show, Circus, needed all the facilities of the big Thornton gym, but both schools took part. 15

Helene Gottschling accepts award for the junior Class Hoat from Sandy Anders and Steve Benos, MC's. Homecoming was the big event of the fall semester because it lasted for a whole week-end. The entire school was involved in decorating floats for the parade. Earlier, though, in September, Girls Club gave their traditional get-acquainted party, the Freshman Stand-Up. Girls Athletic Association entertained their parents and Phys Ed teachers at a Play Nite in No- vember and Girls Club invited their dads for the Dad-Daughter dinnerjust before Christmas. Some of the dads had to earn their way by being in the stage show following the mealeand did a goodjob. 17
