Wgfmff lt clidn't take long to learn our way around Thornridge, and we soon got acquainted with new nienilmers in our classes. Furniture was new and attractive: corridors were colorful and so were the classrooms. Best of all, as far as faculty were concerned, each one had his own room-no more travelling from one rooin to another or moving out during a free period. There was adequate storage and plenty of space to put up displays. Since the buildings were not entirely completed, there were sonic inconveniences. was Maps in hand, Thornridge students and faculty made their way around the campus those first days. One faculty member made the mistake of zigging when he should have zagged and walked through a glass panel. Thereafter a gray stripe, at eye level, was painted on each panel to prevent future accidents. Because the gymnasiums were not quite finished at moving time, all gym classes had to occupy tem- porary quarters. First aid and hygiene units kept them busy.
