If, during their first three years, they have made an A or B average, they may choose dramatics, debate, public speaking, or journalism instead of fourth year English. The fourth year course consists of English Literature and further work in composition. The senior can now recall the good old days when he was a freshman. He was then introduced to a wide reading program, which developed an apprecia- tion for good literature. He obtained his books from either the English Rental Library, which contains 22,739 volumes valued at 5B23,538, or from the main library, which contains ll,8S0 volumes valued at 31,398 over last year. The stu! dents may also use the main library for reference work under the supervision and guidance of two librarians and stue dent assistants. .
