lllHITE CDLLIIRS Located in the southwest part of the building is the general othce, an important and busy part of Thornton Township High School. The public address system in the oflice conveys messages and makes possible the announce- ments heard every morning during homeroom. The daily tasks performed by the competent oFtice stall' are many. Files are kept retaining records of scholarship, citizen- ship, attendance, and personality ratings for each pupil. Telephone calls, distributing the mail, mimeographing, and school correspondence are a few more of the jobs handled by the otlice staff. Secretary to Dr. William E. McVey is Miss Constance Lovejoy. Miss jane L. Ridder is registrar. Completing the otlice staff are Miss Edith Kordewich, Miss Betty Meeboer, Miss Enid Boothe, and Miss Edith Mitchell. Mr. W. C. Fowler and Mr. V. L.
