By a rotating system, each class is under the supervision of Mr. D. Mees, Mr. B. Stephens, or Mr. J. F. Zimmerman from its sophomore year until the termination of its senior year at Thornton. Dr. C. R. Maddox helps the freshmen adjust themselves to an important step in their educational career and acquaints them with the activities and customs of Thornton. The inspiration and affection shown by these faculty members toward the student represent some of the best memories the graduate has of Thornton. and Clifford R. Page Il GUIIRDIIIII IIIIGELS Helping to guide the students along the road of education are the Dean of Boys and the Dean of Girls. The door of the office of the Dean of Boys, Mr. O. F. Umbaugh, stands open to welcome those boys who seek the help and counsel they know the dean will offer them. Across the corridor the girls acquire the aid and personal guidance suggested by the Dean of Girls, Miss Helene Wilson. Besides being personal advisers, the deans also serve as sponsors of the Girls and Boys Clubs. Thornton would not be complete without the friendly advice and encouragement offered to the students by these faculty members. Helene E.
