Early in the year these older members of the Thornton family organized and chose their leaders with masculine mem- bers entirely being the choice. The year also brought scholastic honors to several ambitious seniors. Included in the list of first semester all A students Were: Ardath Anders, George Conrey, Glenn Leach, Dorothy Paynter, and Hazel Paynter. Right behind these top rankers came these students with all A's but one B: Eleanor Bartsch, Beth Brook- ley, William King, Elizabeth Lewis, Lois Rogers, Ansell Winterbauer, and Betty Woare. Page 20 WAYNE LINDAHL Treasurer THEODORE PACHOLIK President FRANK THOMPSON First Vice-president WILLIAM HARDLANNERT Secretary IACK DILL Second Vice-president Iunior Class Their first year as upper-class members of the family brought new interests and fun for the Thornton juniors. The election of their leaders proved an almost even proportionment of boys and girls. The junior members of our home con- tinued their scholastic record as the first semester averages found Helen Doolen, Donald Fork, Nicholas Kupchick, Albert Martin, Dorothy Munro, Thomas Newman, and Iervis Zimmerman in the all A class. The group of all A but one B students were: Catherine Eylander, David Pontius, Nancy Shankland, and Anthony Szew- czyk. Y As the year closes the seniors-to-be eagerly anticipate their coming reign.
