Scott Durland (77), and Dee Wall (49), stuffs Westys running back. WIPE-GOT By Jancllc Ccpcda The wave came October 9th, when the forceful Thornton Trojans wiped-out the wimpy Westy Warriors 28-3 during the Thornton homecoming game. Nick Adams (42), ran for a two yard touchdown to give the Trojans a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. In the third quarter, Chad Wilson (7), ran in the end zone with a quarterback sneak to give the Trojans a 14-3 lead. With 7:23 into the second half, Nick Adams caught a pass for a touchdown on a fourth down, to give the Trojans a 21-3 lead. Matt Shaw scored a 9- yard touchdown to give Thornton a 28-3 lead with 4:24 left in the fourth quarter. Although the wind slowed Thornton in the first half, the Trojans gained momentum and swept past Westminster bringing the victory to their homecoming fans.
