What Homework? By Kathleen Crowfoot Where do students do their homework, how much time is spent on it? A Thornton High School student feels that the radio, T.V. or something on making noise helps her study. Kim Stigall junior stated, When I study the T.V. and radio are both on. It helps me to study, because I can't concentrate when it's all quiet. In a general study Thornton High School students spend an hour or two on their homework a night, but very seldom more. Students go to school for seven hours, five days a week, who wants to go home and do more? Students have better things to do like, I would rather play sports and sleep than go home and do homework, commented Kelli Cornett a sophomore. What the students don't realize is that they are the ones who benefit from doing it. They would rather be doing something better with their time. But if you think about it, they only have so long to learn, then they have to put what they've learned to use. Some of us will have good jobs or bad jobs, it’s really up to you. If we take the time to learn for an hour or two a day we are bettering ourselves. We become aware of what we enjoy or don't enjoy. So if we take the extra step to succeed we can have a job we enjoy and can do our best. Homework creates laughter in Lisa Keith. Tracy Sogi. Julie Cook.and Andrea Gregg.
