JQZAVL LUCL5 lfilfl LU Qlfl -' There has to be a middleman in any business and that's just what the Thorntonian salesmen and acl-getters were. The acl-getters got the necessary money for publishing by collecting ads, and the salesmen sold the papers to you. They received no awards or money for their work, just the satisfaction of know- ing that they had helped the paper. Maxie',, our perennial magazine salesman, came to T. F. in the fall again, and gave us a pep talk about reviving salesmanship tactics. The selling of the magazines helped to make possible the publication of the book you are now reading, and the participants in the drive did a true service for their school. ' Page 2:3
