Business 130 . ee gi S PARAL DE LATTE manner 132 Mr. Richard Toth passed away on November 21, 1970. He taught at Thornton for one and a half years in the Technical Education division. Mr. Toth attended Purdue and received his B.S.A.E. degree in 1959. In 1966 he received his masters in engineer- ing mechanics at the University of Alabama. Then in 67-68 he was a research assistant at the university. From 1968-1969 he worked for Midwest American where he designed and developed small air motors. He also worked on a kidney preservation machine. 133 Mr. Leo V. Bowers, passed away on the date of October 23, 1970 in his home. He was chairman of the Business Dept. at the college and has been a resident in Harvey since 1957. He received his A.B. at Bowling Green University and his M.A. at Colorado State in Greeley. He also taught at Colorado State and Evansville College before coming to Thornton in 1951. Mr. Bowers was also a member of the Illinois Education Association. 134 Mr. Lee Dulgar, former President of Thornton Community College retired from the office of presidency in August of 1970. He received his Bachelor of Education at Eastern Illinois University. He received his M.A. in 1938 from the University of Illinois. Mr. Dulgar took several graduate courses at Northwestern University. He taught from 1941-1957 at Thornton Township High School. From 1955-1957 he was director of Adult Education at the High School. Mr. Dulgar is presently residing in Homewood and enjoying his retirement after all his hard worked years at Thornton. 135 om ah 2 | ida wri tg Sea te
