STUDENT SENATE Student Senate officers are (seated) Karen Cal- lanan, President; Mary Ann Johnson, Secretary; (standing) Tom Renner, Vice-President; Cherie Saverbier, Treasurer. The Student Senate serves as the governing body of Thornton Junior College. Members of the Student Senate board are composed of presidents and vice-presidents of the following groups: Coed Club, Men's Club, freshmanclass, sophomore class, three members elected from the freshman class, one from the sophomore class and one representative from the college publications. In addition to sponsoring the Mixers at the start of each semester, the Gym-Jams, Home- coming Weekend, the Prom and Boulderino, the Student Senate has the responsibility of distri- buting the student activity fees to school organ- izations. This year the Student Senate sent buses to away. basketball games and redecorated and furnished the Annex C Lounge. Sponsors for the Student Senate are Mrs. Helen Fesler and Mr. Raymond Sherman.
