Top Row: Mike Jerding, Carol Maczka, Chuck Mosser, George Waters, Kiiri Tamm, Douglas Smith Bottom Row; Charlotte Nash, Sharon Milet, Isla Rothenhoefer, Diana Staat, Mary Ann Johnson, Jeanne Nelson, Gail Dunker THE COURIER The Courier is the school newspaper which majestically appears in the Union Room every other Friday. The Courier is also available in the library and office. It is in this paper, which is sponsored by Mr. John Stanfield, that we can find out the latest news as to school events and social activities. This year's Courier staff, which is headed by George Waters, had an extra difficulty in meeting their deadlines - lack of staff members. Even with this handicap the Courier staff has done a fine job of turning out a school newspaper. 20

For the most part the Spanish Club is composed of those students currently taking first or second year Spanish and who have enough interest to join this Club as well as to attend classes. The sponsor of the Spanish Club is Miss Florence, Wunderlich who encourages her students to join the Club and further their exposure to the culture and customs of Spain. Miss Wunderlich is assisted in this function by Elaine Kavelaras, president; Frank Nuessel, vice-president; Mary Ann Johnson, secretary-treasurer; and Bill Horn, sergeant-at-arms. 19
