This is best accomplished by stimulating an increased usage of the lang- uage. Another method is by exposing the students to pictures as well as printed material from France. Through these media members are brought closer to the realization that France, its language, and its people are an important part of the world we live in. The Club is sponsored by Miss Florence Wunderlich and is open to those students taking first or second year French. This year's officers are Ron Pritchard, president, Ursula Olling, vice-president; Sandy Johnson, sec.-treasurer; and Bob Dahl, sergeant- at-arms. - 17

Its purpose is to acquaint students with the German language and customs. It is a chance for all students of German to combine fun and enjoyment with a study of German. It provides these students with an opportunity touse the German that they have learned in classes. One of the highlights of the year is their participation in the annual Christ- mas party of the foreign language clubs. This year they put on a skit featuring an angel choir and its instructor, Beethoven. Current officers are Sharon Oldaker, presi- dent; Irv Wilkins, vice-president; Pat Christ, secretary; and Dieter Meister, treasurer. 18
