Phillips. llB1AkSlKllETl4B1AkllLllL To the basketball team we owe a great deal of the glory that is shed upon the athletic department of Thornton Academy. The first hoop encounter that the Academy had, started off what was to be one of the best basketball seasons that Thornton has had for quite a few years. Five well trained men, and some very good reserves, came through with a decisive win of 45 to 31 over the Alumni group. This showed that if they could win against a strong team like that, they could also win from other teams equally as strong. Utilizing the knowledge gained from their apt coach, R.
