The second change for The disTricT was The addiTion of Dr. Richard Taylor as The new superinTendenT as Dr. Jack Curless reTired in July, 4987. WiTh his new posiTion, he was required To Take care of The daily problems of Three schools. The number of assisTanT principals in if K ' K all Three schools was reduced from five To four, so a re-alignmenT of duTies meanT Those four had even more work To do, For Dr. Richard Keller iT meanT busier days. Now ThaT l've Taken over scheduling, daTa processing, and aTh- leTics, my days are much busier and much longer. lT's been an awful loT To learn, and l hope l'm learning iT well, he said. CommiTTmenT, dedica- Tion, and Time sacrificed were all a parT of being an organizaTion sponsor. Mrs. Winiecki began her Teaching career aT Thorn- ridge 'ill years ago and has been The Pom Pon sponsor since 4978. Mrs KaTzberger was The sponsor and re- signed in The middle of The year. They needed some- one and l Took The posiTion, she said. WhaT was special To her? Working wiTh The girls was a loT of fun and was exciiing. We were always doing someThing differenfp There was never a dull momenT, she commenTed. For each of The many rou- Tines performed exfra Time had To be given.
