A Celebration! The Social Stud- ies Department concentrated on the 200th Anni- versary of the signing of the Constitution by the Phila- delphia Convention. 'Congress created the Commission on the Bicen- tennial to encourage schools across the country to pause and reflect on the benefits derived from this document. It is only fitting 60 Social Studies Department 5' that TR join the celebration of this living document, said Mr. Ron Harley, social studies teacher. Programs included enter- ing students in the National Bicentennial Writing Com- petition with a grand prize of 510,000 and a free trip to Washington D. C.
