Major, Jarard win sectional or the first time in ten years, a player from the boys tennis team won a sectional event. This was accomplished by senior Mark Major and junior Doug Jarard. They went on to advance to the state meet in Arlington Heights. When Mark and I lost at state, we were at first mad, but then we were happy that we had made it in that far at all, stated Jarard. The varsity team as a whole had another winning season. Their 4-2 conference record was well earned. Sophomore Jaime Bhatty and Sophomore Bobby Ramirez earned the spots ot second and third singles re- spectively. Doubles were Majors and Jarard at lst doubles and Senior Paul Lamb and Junior Dan See at second doubles. Hard work at practices pulled us through a decent season, stated Ramirez. The junior varsity team had a season with a lot of new players. Although many of the sophomores had moved up to varsity level, talent was still abundant. will
