Learners become workers - await business world ln recent years, as the state of our economy has become less stable, more and more students have sought training to insure them of good jobs after gradu- ating. With this increased student interest in career opportunities and employment availability, the various business clubs at TR have witnessed a steady growth in membership. By providing on-the-job training for many different career areas, clubs such as OE, DE, VICA, and Tra- vaille enable the student to gain experi- ence and skill in his chosen career field. Girls invade Roadrunners Run for fun is the motto of the Roadrunners, no longer a club consisting of only male runners. Seven female Roadrunners joined the club with the purpose of getting in shape for girls track and field or other girls sports. The runners work out under any weather conditions through the winter months. Sponsored by Track Coach Robert Ni- cholson, the club met once a month to update mileage records and to plan fund- raising projects. Travaille, CWT provide job training Cooperative Work Training provides students with on-the-job training in semi-skilled occupations. After complet- ing the Occupational Training Work- shop in their junior year, students be- come eligible for CWT in their senior year.
