Students fly to foreign lands on wings of AFS This year, the American Field Service enabled two students to go abroad - Sheri Nelson to Sweden, Rich Wrede to Greece - as foreign exchange students. In addition, the club finds homes for any foreign exchange students coming to Thornridge. Sponsored by Miss Mary Ann Macan- der, this year AFS welcomed Sigvard Johannson to TR and presented him with a class ring, a yearbook, and a sub- scription to the Bagpipe. Among the club's many activities are the Pepsi and donut sale and the Lasagna dinner.
